September 1st 2026 - Summer Updates
Over the summer, we’ve made a number of improvements to save you time and make talking to Skye easier for your pupils. Here’s a close look at everything that’s new:
New programmes are live
You can access Year 6 Ratio & Proportion, Year 6 Algebra & Sequences, Year 3 Measurement, and Geometry for Years 3-6.
Clearer conversations with ‘Click to speak’
When a spoken answer is required, pupils will now see a button that says 'Hold Space or Click to Speak’. They simply click the button or hold down the space bar while they talk, then click again or release the space bar to send their answer to Skye.
If a pupil wants to ask Skye something at another point in the session, they can use the ‘Raise hand’ button. Skye will now begin listening as soon as they click it.
If a question requires a spoken answer and the pupil does not click the ‘Click to speak’ button, a visual reminder will appear after 30 seconds.
There’s nothing you need to set up. New and returning pupils will be shown how to use the feature when they begin their sessions.
Add pupils in bulk with a CSV upload
You can now upload a CSV to add large groups of pupils at once.
To get started, use the sidebar in the Teacher Experience to navigate to 'Admin' > 'Pupil Accounts', then click 'Add pupils' and choose the bulk upload option.
From there, you simply download the template spreadsheet, add your pupil information with one pupil per row, and upload the completed CSV file. Assigning a programme is optional, so you can also upload pupils before deciding which programme they’ll follow.
Once your pupils have been added, you can download a PDF containing their login details, ready to hand out on the day of their sessions.
Easier pupil account management
We’ve made it quicker to find pupils and carry out common tasks in the Teacher Experience. You can now:
Search for pupils and filter accounts by year group
Change passwords in bulk for multiple pupils at once
See active and archived pupil totals at a glance
A smoother way to add and set up pupils
Improvements to the ‘Add pupils’ process will help you complete pupil profiles and assign programmes:
Find pupils more easily with search tools and alphabetical ordering
Leave some pupil profiles incomplete - you no longer need to complete every pupil profile at the same time
Simpler session management
We’ve made the Sessions page easier to navigate, particularly for schools managing lots of pupils and sessions:
Find sessions quickly using new daily session tabs and buttons to click through to the next/previous week
Search for pupils when assigning them to scheduled sessions
New ‘What tutoring sessions are available’ guide
