πŸš€ What is the kick off quiz?

The kick off quiz (formerly known as Mission Zero) is a 20-question quiz designed to diagnose gaps and learning opportunities that can be addressed during sessions with the tutor.

The results of the kick off quiz are also used to be compared with the Programme end quiz (available once a pupil has completed their programme) and see the impact and learnings of the intervention.

πŸš€ When can pupils complete the initial assessment?

For a completely personalised learning journey, the initial assessment should be completed before a pupil's first session with their tutor. If, however, this isn't possible, they will be able to complete it at any point by navigating to the 'Quizzes' section on the left-hand navigation panel, just beneath the Home icon.

πŸš€ Why do pupils need to complete this?

The initial assessment is a key part of all our programmes and has two main purposes:

  • To inform the personalised programme of objectives for each pupil

  • To serve as a baseline to help us measure the impact of your pupils' sessions throughout the term (we compare their answers in post-session questions and the programme end quiz to their initial answers in the kick off quiz)

Here is an example of the style of questions that the pupils will be asked:

Tutors then review the answers to these multiple choice questions before they teach each session and this helps inform them where possible misconceptions are to better personalise the session.

πŸš€ How long does the initial assessment take to complete?

The initial assessment takes around 30 minutes to complete.

πŸš€ How do I activate the kick off quiz?

The kick off quiz is automatically activated for a pupil once they are assigned to a programme. As a teacher, you don’t manually activate it. Pupils will be able to complete the initial assessment by navigating to the 'Quizzes' section when they log in and clicking 'Kick off quiz'.

πŸš€ How do I view my pupils' initial assessment reports?

To view your pupils' initial assessment reports, head to the Quiz Reports page where you can click into each pupil's profile to see and print the results of all their quizzes.
