This article contains information for students on how we collect and process their data.

We want you to understand what happens to your information when you use Third Space Learning. We keep your information safe and only use it to help you learn.

When you first log in

When you log in for the first time, you will see a welcome video explaining what Third Space Learning is and how it works.

Your teacher has already told us some basic information about you:

  • Your name

  • Your grade level

  • Your math level

We use this information to make sure you get the right lessons and support.

During your sessions

At the start of each session, you will answer one check in question to see what you already know.

At the end of the lesson, you will answer:

  • A check out question

  • A confidence question (how you feel about the learning)

We use your answers to:

  • See how much progress you are making

  • Let your teacher know how you are doing

  • Check that our lessons are helping

Your sessions with your tutor are recorded and written down (this is called a transcript).

We do this so we can:

  • Make sure you are getting great teaching

  • Keep everyone safe

  • Help if there is ever a problem

After your lesson

At the end of your lesson, we will ask:

  • How was your session today?

  • Is there anything you would like to tell us?

Your answers help us:

  • Make our lessons better

  • Understand what you like

  • Improve how we teach

Who can see your information

Only trained adults at Third Space Learning and teachers at your school have access to this information about you

How long we keep your information

We do not keep your information forever.

If you stop using Third Space Learning, we will remove your name from your records after two school years. This means the information will no longer show who it belongs to.

If you ever have questions about your information, you can ask your teacher or a parent or guardian to help you.
