Top tips for learning with Skye:

We recommend placing one on each Third Space Learner’s desk to remind them of these tips and help their session with Skye run smoothly.

Skye will talk to you through your headset. When it's your turn to reply, click the Click to speak button (or hold down the space bar), say your answer, then click again (or let go of the space bar)

✅ Skye only hears you after you've pressed the Click to speak button, so use it every time you want to speak

✅ If you need to speak while Skye is still speaking, just click "Raise Hand".

✅ Sometimes Skye will ask you to write your answer and sometimes Skye will ask you to say it out loud.

✅ Speak clearly and remember to be kind and respectful - just like you would be with your teacher.

✅ Skye sometimes needs some extra time to think about what you’ve said before replying, so try to be patient.

✅ If Skye gets stuck or isn't saying anything, try refreshing your screen

✅ Your sessions will all be recorded

✅ If you want to say something to Skye while Skye is talking, click the Raise hand button in the toolbar, then press Click to speak.

If you ever need help, you can ask Skye. Try saying questions and phrases like these:

💬 “I’m not sure what I need to do”

💬 “I need more help with this maths question”

💬 “I don’t understand this question”

💬 “Can you help me with this question?”

💬 “Can you repeat the question please?”
