Note: Before you can assign pupils to a session, you need to have created the pupil accounts and assigned them to a programme. You can learn more about this step here.
👥 3 steps to assign pupils to their session:
1. Go to the 'Sessions' page using the sidebar:
2. You will see a list of all sessions happening in the current or upcoming week. For each session there will be an 'Assign pupils' button. Click it.
3. From the dropdown, select the pupils you want to assign to this session time. The pupils will be assigned to all sessions with this session time (e.g. All Mondays at 9:30am)
You can only select pupils up to the maximum of spaces available for that session (for example, if your school has booked 5 spaces on Mondays at 9:30am, you can only select 5 pupils for that session).
Can’t see a pupil to assign to sessions?
If you can’t see a pupil in the dropdown list to assign to a session, this could be because:
The pupil you are looking for doesn’t have an account created
The pupil you are looking for doesn’t have a programme assigned
You can go to the 'Pupil accounts' page to create an account and if the pupil already has an account but not a programme, you will see a warning icon next to their name and a button which reads 'Complete profile'.
Return to the 'Sessions' page to assign them to a session once the above is complete.
I’m seeing a message saying 'You have 1 empty space'. What does this mean?
This message simply means that there is room to assign one more pupil to the chosen session time. You might see this message when you haven’t filled in all sessions with pupils at the beginning of the academic year, or if throughout the year you have increased your booking for a specific session time.
